Recent Fund Raisers
Diamond Woods Golf Course recently conducted two major fund raisers. June 4th saw the 2nd Annual HS Scholarship Fund Raiser. This year’s tournament was a total success as it was in 2010. Everyone had a great time trying to win with rules only a Mulligan golfer could understand. Many terrific prizes were awarded for KPs, long drives, long putts, long strings, long… well you get the idea.
The true winners were the qualifying Seniors of Monroe High School as over $8,000.00 was raised to help fund there needs as they go off to college next year. A special thanks to Leroy Brazil and Gerry Doyle for there efforts, going door to door, making calls and organizing this major event. Thanks as well to Dorothy and Gary Watts for all their hard work. Great job you guys!
Then on June 18th, Gary and Dorothy were at it again with the South Benton Lions Club Annual fundraiser that benefits the Monroe Volunteer Firefighters and the lions Club charities. Over $3,700.00 was generated by an event that is always a lot of fun with everyone getting in the action. When you see Gary or Dorothy give them a big hug or a handshake for their efforts. They deserve it.
